This conversion was completed in two days with very little modification required. The first step was to remove the drive line. In it's place we would install the EMIS Motor with the modified drive line attached. With this step finished, the motor is installed with no loss of vehicle clearance. The next step is to install the battery compartment. In the Tahoe this is accomplished by modifying the spare tire compartment. By utilizing this area, inside access to the batteries and electronics can be provided. The spare tire mounting hardware is removed and the battery compartment installed in it's place. When compartment installation is complete, the spare tire mounting hardware is reinstalled underneath the vehicle and the spare tire attached. Still with no loss of vehicle clearance.
